The Methodists came up trumps in granting us a 10-year lease back in 2017 which enabled the shop to get up and running. Time is flying by and we now need to start thinking about where we will be longer term.
Some of you will recall that earlier this year we sought to renew our planning permission for the original scheme which consisted of a shop with the possibility of adding a café at some point. However, we had to withdraw that application when we found out the plot available to build on is now smaller than originally thought. We have now applied for planning permission for a shop only. We are also holding discussions with the Methodists on possible long-term options.
Once all possible options have been identified and costed, we will consult with all villagers to help inform decisions which will then be taken by the shareholders of the shop.
